Data processed
Account data (name, e-mail, phone, language, company data for professionals), listings and photos, published requests, messages exchanged on the platform, favourites and alerts, orders and invoices, opens and clicks of information e-mails, and technical data (IP address, browser, connection logs) needed for operation and security. Card details are entered at Stripe and are not stored by keyhome24.
Purposes
Provide the service, check publications, put people in touch, process payments and issue invoices, send e-mails related to your use, prevent abuse and fraud, ensure security and meet our legal obligations.
Third-party data
If you send keyhome24 data about other people (for example the name of an agency contact or a photo showing someone), you must have obtained it lawfully and be entitled to pass it on.
Information e-mails
If you agree when registering or in your profile, we send you our news and offers by e-mail. To measure interest, we record whether the e-mail was opened and whether a link was clicked. You can withdraw this consent at any time in your profile or with the unsubscribe link in every e-mail. E-mails about your account, listings and alerts do not depend on this consent.
Recipients
Your listings and requests are visible to the public, without your e-mail or phone. Your messages are passed on to the person concerned. We use these providers: Stripe (payments, Ireland and United States), Namecheap (website hosting, United States), IONOS (e-mail sending, Germany), OpenStreetMap (map tiles, United Kingdom) and swisstopo (address search, Switzerland). We do not sell any data.
Nearby places
To show public transport stops near a listing, only the property's position (map coordinates) is sent to swisstopo's public geo.admin.ch service (Switzerland). No personal data is sent.
Transfers abroad
Some providers process data in the European Union, the United Kingdom or the United States. For countries without protection recognised as adequate by Switzerland, the transfer relies on appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses or the Swiss–US Data Privacy Framework where the provider is certified.
Moderation
A private conversation is read by our team only if it is reported to us, solely to handle that report. Each reading is logged.
Retention
Account, listings, messages, favourites and alerts: as long as the account exists; they are deleted with the account. Invoices and accounting data: 10 years, as required by law. Tracking of information e-mails: at most 24 months. Technical logs: at most 12 months.
Cookies
The site only uses cookies needed for it to work: login, form security and chosen language. It uses no advertising or audience-measurement cookies. Details are on the Cookies page.
Security
The site is protected by an encrypted connection (HTTPS), passwords are stored in encrypted form and access to data is limited to the people who need it. In the event of a data breach with a high risk, we inform the people concerned and the authorities as required by law.
Your rights
